October 12 - mid November

Early Season: Changing Water

Water can be high and cold after winter. Streamers, nymphs and sink tips are useful options, adjusted to the flow and water chosen that day.

January - February

Dry Fly: Hoppers & Sight Fishing

Terrestrial season. Hoppers, Fat Alberts and beetles fall from the banks, bringing trout to the surface in clear spring creeks. A strong window for sight fishing and careful dry-fly presentation.

March - April

Migratory Browns

Cooler autumn conditions can change brown trout movement, with a mix of streamer, nymph and occasional dry-fly opportunities.

Matias & Sebastian connected with Douglas Outdoors when they started Chile Fly Fishing back in 2019/2020. They are now great friends who just happen to run a professional fishing operation in beautiful Patagonia. Everything is taken care of and first class once you arrive in Chile. Matias and Sebastian are great hosts and would love to show you some of their favorite spots. When it's time to book your bucket list trip to Patagonia contact the Team at Chile Fly Fishing and make your trip legendary.
