Why we fish from a fixed base in Coyhaique
Coyhaique is a practical base for reaching freestone rivers, spring creeks and lakes across the Aysén Region. That variety lets you fish dry flies, nymphs and streamers for wild brown and rainbow trout in one trip, with the daily plan adjusted to water and wind.
The water around town is a short drive away. Distant systems such as Río Baker sit well to the south, so we plan them as their own day instead of squeezing them into a morning. Can you stay in one place?
Yes, and that is the point of a fixed base. The All Inclusive Expedition is 7 nights, 6 full days of guided fishing: you arrive on a Saturday and leave the following Saturday, fishing Sunday through Friday. You sleep with our local accommodation partner all seven nights, confirmed with your itinerary before payment, and 4x4 transport takes you to the water each day. Up to two anglers per date, one group at a time.
The budget version: single guided days
If you already have a place to stay in Coyhaique, or you are travelling through Aysén, you don't need a package. A Full Day costs USD 690 per day, for up to two anglers — not per angler. It includes a guide, round trip transport, a box lunch, drinks (water, beer or wine) and flies. Book one day or up to seven in a row. Can you fish without a guide?
You can travel on your own. You will need a Sernapesca recreational fishing licence and your own plan for access, and we keep private access points out of public copy. A single guided day is the shortest way to learn a piece of water.
Questions to ask any lodge or outfitter before you book
